Metal, Brentwood Creative Changemakers Producer

Founded in 2002 by Jude Kelly CBE, we have been active in Liverpool since 2004, in Southend-on-Sea since 2007 and in Peterborough since 2012. In each place, we work from buildings of historic significance that we have transformed from empty or derelict spaces into vibrant cultural community hubs. From these bases, we work to provide the catalyst that can transform the potential of people and places through art and inspiring ideas.

The Brentwood Changemakers Producer is a new role leading on the delivery of a new and exciting programme, ‘Brentwood Creative Changemakers’.

Designed to support and empower artists and creatives in Brentwood, the Changemakers programme aims to make a significant contribution to the cultural landscape in the borough.

Funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF), across May/June 2024 – March 2025, this role will work closely with the Metal team to develop an innovative programme aimed at amplifying existing artists and creatives in the Brentwood community. This role will be key in delivering artist advice sessions, networking events, residencies and creative skills workshops.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, reliable, and highly motivated person who can take on a variety of tasks, working closely with our teams in Southend, supporting Brentwood artists and creatives and the Brentwood Borough Council. You will be a dynamic, creative thinker who will be excited to help mould the ‘Brentwood Changemakers’ programme. The post is key to the smooth running of the project, overseeing and supporting the delivery of events and activities.
